About us
Protecting Our Oceans, Restoring Our Future
Slipway Coral Reef Restoration is dedicated to protecting Tanzania’s marine ecosystems through coral transplantation, underwater clean-ups, and mangrove restoration. Our goal is to restore marine biodiversity and create sustainable solutions for future generations.

Coral Reefs in Tanzania
Tanzania’s coastline spans 1,400 km, hosting some of the most diverse coral reefs in the Indian Ocean. These reefs support marine biodiversity, fisheries, and coastal protection, but face threats from climate change, pollution, and destructive fishing. Through restoration efforts, we aim to revive damaged reefs, protect marine life, and promote sustainable conservation.
What we Do
Restoring Reefs, Protecting Oceans, Empowering Communities

Coral Reef Restoration
We transplant coral fragments onto degraded reefs and deploy artificial reef structures to accelerate reef recovery.

Underwater Clean-Ups
Regular marine debris removal protects corals and marine life, with ongoing monitoring by divers and volunteers.
Mangrove Rehabilitation
We restore degraded mangrove forests, which serve as vital nurseries for marine species and protect coastlines from erosion.
